NW, to c 3000m

Another good day with a marked inversion near take off a little like yesterday, but with probably climbs to 3000m later in the afternoon and a more westerly component which should today allow us to go over the Pass towards Avila.  More detail at 11am briefing.

Saturday to Monday. All good again.

Things now back to good flying weather with the weekend good and Monday, with our new arrivals quite excellent.  Just a flight to the Pass and back (east on the other side), but pleasant flying with little wind and cumulus at around 2600m.   Weather for the week looking very nice.

348km and 135km Declared Goals.

The meteo was spot on yesterday.  Both Ian and Johan achieved the goal and Tordesillas.  Placed just short of the Valladolid airspace.  A spanish pilot , Godo, made an open distance of 348km landing not far from the Cantabrian coast.  A new European record I think, and about the 4th or 5th claimed from our […]

Flights down to Barco

A break in the poor weather of the previous days and easterly flow but a little inverted.  Enough for some 20km flights to Barco for most of the group.  Strong climbs and a little rough.  Easy evening flying but the E component kept us on the PN spur.

The poor weather these last few days have given me time to do the 2nd Brits poster.  The first was for the UK event, with caricatures of Boris Johnson and Teresa May.  This one for France I thought I might use and Iconic british Bagpiper rounding a high french alpine peak.
