Clouds at potentially near 4000m, winds light from SW to NW.  Excellent thermal quality.  What could go wrong!

This is  an ideal day for going over the pass and beyond Avila, though later in the day and along the track after Avila it may go more north.  Excellent opportunity for 100km.

What Happened.

Great climbs from early on to over 3000m.  Light north so not as easy as expected for open xc.  A great run of for David, Ian and Alex at Avila, and best distance to Pete with 103 on his Mentor 3 light.
