Avila, light NW, 3500m

What looked like a stable day turned out excellent, with nice climbs all along the Corneja valley and on the mountain. Only Fred made it over the pass, with Eric and Kevin landing on the high ground at the pass. Once over the other side things were initially more stable till we came across a mega climb which took me to 3500m. I left Fred, assuming he would easily glide to Avila. I got to the city walls over 2000m, but Fred to a poor line, leaving him 8km short.

A nice evening flight and a good commercial tandem for me.
