We want your coments on the change in arrival day.

This year our arrival and departure day has been changed to SUNDAY. From July 2007 easyJet stopped their flights from some provincial airports on Saturday. Also, some clients made it known to us that a Sunday to Sunday would be easier for them for work reasons. There is also a direct bus to from Madrid to Piedrahita at 8.30pm on Sunday for those arriving too late for our shuttle service.

We would be interested in your views of the change in day. Do you prefer it, or would you like us to return to a Saturday change over day next year?

  1. Pat Rowley Says:

Sunday is much better for us arriving from the Midlands, it’s cheaper for a return flight on a Sunday than on a Saturday.
Would be even cheaper midweek to midweek.

  2. Alan Taylor Says:

Bit of a pain for me. No difference in the flights (from Gatwick), but there’s no trains on Sundays from my station.
So that’s either 2 taxi fares or about £80 in parking fees.

  3. Phil Says:

The change in day is great for me. I can now fly from Leeds/Bradford an hour drive from my home with a cheap airline instead of the previous 2.5 hour drive to and from Liverpool, plus the carparking is cheaper and the flight arrival means I get into Madrid at 13:30 instead of 17:30 with Easyjet which makes it better for transfers for Steve. The only down side is that I have to go back to work the next day instead of having a day to acclimatise and I’m not looking forward to that, but its not really a problem as I never look forward to going back to work after a holiday. Gets my thumbs up.

It doesn’t make a massive difference to me but I probably prefer to transfer on Saturday. It’s just nicer to have a day to recover at home on Sunday before having to go back to work on Monday.

  5. Phil Mackereth Says:

One of the best things about Sunday being the changeover day is that it means when you wake up on the Monday, the first day, all the shops are open so you can get some supplies in for butties and drinks etc. Good decision in my book and gets my vote.
