Some flying in defiance of the strong winds.

June 14th, 2016 - Posted by Steve Ham

Yesterday we had some decent soaring in the early afternoon but keeping to the valley and a way from the Pass.  The evening was too strong for flying.

WNW wind. A lot stronger than I like!

June 14th, 2016 - Posted by Steve Ham

Likely convergence over the Gredos mountains and acceptable winds earlier on at Peña Negra.  A post cold frontal situation with likely Cu development later on but also more wind in the afternoon.  The RASP page is not loading at the moment, hopefully before briefing we can get a bit more detail.  Looks like we shall […]

154km to Arcones Goal

June 9th, 2016 - Posted by Steve Ham

Another exceptional day yesterday with top flight to Acrones landing field for Andy.  Joe back at windmills and Duncan and Dennis in the Avila Valley.  Not so classic as the previous day, not flying in the convergence , but with thermal tops not much higher than  3000m making it easier in the Notam section.

June 8th, 2016 - Posted by Steve Ham
