A fantastic day, with perfect conditions. Ian, Grant, Nigel and myself flew to Avila and came back to near the bend in the road. Very strong convergence in the Ambles Valley. 2 hours of big restitution flying in the evening.

The return of excellent conditions, though weak early on even though the day looked spectacular. Colin, as always, off early and after one low save near the Chalets kept high and watched numerous others bomb out. Early development of congestus, but wind comming round for decent evening flying in late afternoon.

Every day for what seems like forever each day has been a similar pattern. Wake up, blue skies, up the hill and flying. That long steady pattern reaching back to June closed today with the arrival of a cold front. Ah well!
