3200m Light NW and convergence.

A fantastic day, with perfect conditions. Ian, Grant, Nigel and myself flew to Avila and came back to near the bend in the road. Very strong convergence in the Ambles Valley. 2 hours of big restitution flying in the evening.

Every day for what seems like forever each day has been a similar pattern. Wake up, blue skies, up the hill and flying. That long steady pattern reaching back to June closed today with the arrival of a cold front. Ah well!

European PB for Ian. 100km – Happy Birthday Colin!

Another exceptional day. 3000+m and light N

Yesterday, Friday, the wind was a bit strong for us (though the French pilots did just over and just under 200km). Today was perfect. Light N and smooth easy thermals. A trip to the pass and then onto Barco for 3 hours of lovely flying (4 for Baz).

PB for Catherine. 55km to Avila

Another superb soaring day with climbs to 300m and a NW to N wind of around 15km/hr.  Strong climbs and convergence lines in the Ambles valley and difficult to get down at Avila in the booming conditions.  Ian, Paul, Catherine  Juakin and myself at Avila.  Another day with big restitution for the evening flight.
