Yesterday just a shortish flight from Richard at Lastra…conditions very poor (crossed and variable winds) and an evening flight at PN after the storms had decayed.

A day with good XC potential if things do not get out of hand.  A nice convergence line leading NE after the pass, a line we have had much this year and given us many bps.  The problem may be the build up of  stacked Cu and congestus and  possibly Cbs.  However the CAPE seems to show that we should be ok in our  area.

Excellent condition yesterday with climbs to 3000m with many in Barco and  Steve and Chris easily returning.  I flew the tandem with Geoff to Barco.  Nice evening conditions, but the beginnings of large stacked Cu.

Less inverted today with greater potential than the last few days.  However, we may start seeing large cloud build up later in the afternoon with some risk of Congestus  development along the convergence which seems likely to set up along the Sierra de Avila.  Once again probably an out and return day due to light winds are changing directions.

A light wind day with good thermal quality but with climbs not much above 2400m in general.  Most stayed within the valley, but Steve crossed the Pass to Avila and made some way back for an excellent flight with such low conditions.

Not a disimilar day to yesterday, but with lighter wind and perhaps higher climbs.  More scope for an interesting O& R such as Pass, Barco and back.  Once again no rush to take off, but when conditions finally start it will be strong at take off again. Briefing around 11am

Yesterday the forecast was pretty spot on, the inversion maintaining and a N flow.  Most flew within the Corneja valley with climbs little over 2400m

In general a NE flow, but in our valley NW lower down.  Rather inverted early on  and most climbs between 2200 and 2600m until late afternoon with perhaps some climbs to near 3000m on the mountain.  Mainly blue , though we may see some Cu in the Avila valley and near the east side of Pass.   Wind is on the hill from early in the day, so we could contemplate an early flight before the XC flight!!

For XC.. ambitious would be Avila return, then perhaps Baco return.  Both may work, though with the low  base maybe only as far as Muñogalindo.

A good looking day whilst I was at the airport. Nice Cu to around 3000m+ etc and light winds.  Our evening flight turned out to be one of the biggest restitution flights of the year with heaps of lift.

Wind is likely to come onto PN , but perhaps crossed.  Wind is near limit of comfort for PG, but today we should certainly concentrate on getting in the air.  Less chance of large Cu build ups, though some likely along parts of convergence (the typical SW pattern to day).

Briefing around 10.45 with a likelihood of a departure for La Lastra around 11.15 if we do not see clear signs of orientation at PN.
