Quite a stable day initially and we will need temperatures over 30ºC to get any decent thermals.  Light SE moving SW during the afternoon.  Hopefully it will come onto PN and there will be some interesting convergence effects which we will be able to take advantage of for circuits around the Valley (between the Pass and Barco).  However, little cloud if any to mark it.

First time to Avila for Kevin (though we did do it together by tandem some years ago).  Also a PB for Simon and Steve, who before had only around 6km as a pb and yesterday flew over the Pass to land at Pradosegar.  Great evening conditions too.

Climbs will be a little slow and late today with our temperature trace well to the right and some inversion, keeping us mostly below 2600, though some climbs will probably to to 3000m.  NW flow in general.  I imagine today Avila will be a good, and hard won goal for most of us.

No easy convergence to run, perhaps some at Munogalindo across the valley, with NW slops working well.  Good evening flying is very likely.

A late evening flight with wind a little too much to the west to make it good for the  arriving Malverns group.

Our last day for the DSC was a little frustrating in that the winds was a little variable and dust devil prone till later afternoon.  Most of  our pilots eventually flew, most doing nice circuits of the valley, with Flo going to Avila and Richard about 35km to the North.

The Geneva group who got away early did 250km!

DSC club member and with us for  two weeks.  We also had a great tandem XC together.

Looking like an excellent day if we believe the RASP reports.  Excellent climbs and much reduced Cu, though still likely to get tall along the convergence which  will  run from Muñogalindo to the NE in a typical way.  Wind  at 9am 14km/hr SE, but likely to come onto PN.  A  capping inversion to keep the Cu´s in order, but smooth climbs upwards below.  With top temperatures around 33ºC we should be getting to around 3300m and more.

Early hight vertical development made most of us decide to land when conditions got rather strong. However, Florence moved to the north and did the best flight staying away from the overdevelopment in our valley and the mountains

Potentially a very good day with good quality climbs, some Cu, but capped by an inversion so Cu tops should not go much higher than 4000m.  A classic convergence line swinging to NE of Avila from the Sierra de Avila , so potentially a 100km + day, however, some larger build ups may happen along the convergence.
