Our last day for the DSC was a little frustrating in that the winds was a little variable and dust devil prone till later afternoon. Most of our pilots eventually flew, most doing nice circuits of the valley, with Flo going to Avila and Richard about 35km to the North. The Geneva group who got […]
Early hight vertical development made most of us decide to land when conditions got rather strong. However, Florence moved to the north and did the best flight staying away from the overdevelopment in our valley and the mountains
Yesterday just a shortish flight from Richard at Lastra…conditions very poor (crossed and variable winds) and an evening flight at PN after the storms had decayed.
Excellent condition yesterday with climbs to 3000m with many in Barco and Steve and Chris easily returning. I flew the tandem with Geoff to Barco. Nice evening conditions, but the beginnings of large stacked Cu.
A light wind day with good thermal quality but with climbs not much above 2400m in general. Most stayed within the valley, but Steve crossed the Pass to Avila and made some way back for an excellent flight with such low conditions.
Yesterday the forecast was pretty spot on, the inversion maintaining and a N flow. Most flew within the Corneja valley with climbs little over 2400m
A good looking day whilst I was at the airport. Nice Cu to around 3000m+ etc and light winds. Our evening flight turned out to be one of the biggest restitution flights of the year with heaps of lift.
The wind came onto PN consistently for only a short time yesterday and we had some large Cu build ups to the NE of the valley. Of those who flew, Richard did very well with a great circuit flight to the NW as far as Armenteros and then back.
Well, that was yesterday. Only 2 of our pilots took off; Joe and Richard. Who unfortunately did not get to the good section where I waited at 3600m just N or Piedrahita. An amazing cloud street following the convergence predicted by rasp was ahead, but I landed near home and we had some great […]
Fantastic conditions with perfect Cu around 3300m. Most went from PN towards the Pass then moving N towards Salamanca, Richard to its East for a PB of 62.5km and Hugh to West for a similar distance. Both Joe and Dave tried to make it back, Dave making around 100km. I flew with Alan on the […]
