Weather for flying Thursday 9th

A good thermal soaring day once again with mainly blue thermal tops to around 3000m .  More wind than the last days and more chance of being pushed to the south of the Avila valley and difficulty in keeping N after Avila.

154km to Arcones Goal

Another exceptional day yesterday with top flight to Acrones landing field for Andy.  Joe back at windmills and Duncan and Dennis in the Avila Valley.  Not so classic as the previous day, not flying in the convergence , but with thermal tops not much higher than  3000m making it easier in the Notam section.

Todays forecast. Wednesday 8th June. Very Good again!

Great day again yesterday, with Joe doubling his PB of yesterday with a massive 150km.  Duncan more than tripled his PB with a flight of 85km.

Difficult to predict how today will pan out.  Far more unsettled with a frontal system moving through but mainly effecting the north of Spain.  Far more unsettled in the E and N, but we may catch enough instability for some showers. Andy makes around 100km up and along the convergence

An interesting flight yesterday for Andy, following the convergence as predicted running more north from Muñogalindo towards the North.  Being Sunday, and our arrival of new clients, Andy flew back again appox 20km of wind towards the Avila valley .  Around 5 hours and 100km and back in time for Supper.

A north west with distance convergence formations along the main ridge and probably to the north side of the Avila valley.  Should be comfortable on the ridge and a good opportunity for flights to Avila and possibly beyond today.
