A long slow day with no tailwind but 5 personal bests and 7 over 100km and in goal (and Stu and Niel a little beyond). Nice conditions with some Cu and convergence exactly as predicted by RASP which allows us the flatland cuise from Avila to Segovia. Today also looking very good.
Not a great day with climbs little above 2300 and an increasing NW wind. Most landed at Barco, some 20kms, with a few extending up towards the Tornavacas Pass. Great floaty evening flying with dynamic lift up to 600m above take off.
Another good day, with more of a W flow than yesterday so it may be worth pushing on to Segovia rather than the out and return. More detail at 11am briefing.
A reasonable day with blue thermals going above 3000m. More at briefing at 11.15.
Another day for a flight to Avila, though only Alan arrived, with 4 other over the Pass downed in the Ambles valley.
Today a shift in the wind direction with a more complex airflow making open distance not a good option but still some good potential for interesting flying. Climbs to maybe 4000m and an interesting convergence line running from near Barco to Gijuelo. More detail at briefing at 11.15am
Similar day to yesterday with thermal tops mainly around 2600m with the occasional 3000m probably. More westerly flow. Avila probably, Segovia difficult. More details at briefing at house at 11am
Another good day with a marked inversion near take off a little like yesterday, but with probably climbs to 3000m later in the afternoon and a more westerly component which should today allow us to go over the Pass towards Avila. More detail at 11am briefing.
After some reasonable evening flying at Lastra yesterday, today we have a very Stormy day with almost no possibility of flying with safety.
Today is looking a little more tricky. similar in many respects to yesterday, but the convergence a little more aimed towards the GAP at Cuellar. Briefing around 10am for more detail and leaving by 10.30am
