Lighter NE. Blue thermals to 3000m+

1500

Not as strong at suspected, and very light at take off at 8.30 am.  Skew T is showing light, but local a bit stronger from the NE.  Good quality thermals, with aybe an inversion early on  around 2500m, but later going over 3000m.    A trough in the Pyrenees, but that instability won’t affect us.  Looking good for an open C to the SW, but we must keep an eye on the potential increasing winds since some of the terrain after 30km is difficult.

Also E winds are prone to get strong fast.  See this video as to why if you are interested.  However, this may not occur  if the forecast is as light as it says.

What Happened.

Not so bad but the wind did come in in the end.  A flight to Barco for some, and an evening flight but too  crossed to be much good,

Hope good flights today and rest of the week. I am on my way there but my ride broke down in the road in the middle of France…. Not sure when I will be there.. my regards to Steve, Puri and my friend Alex.
