Take off Astro turf is here
Hard to believe, but it really is here. It arrived yesterday and is in storage to the E of town. After Easter the tecnitians should arrive and hopefully start to lay it (needs a sand bedding and some very expensive adhesive).
It has only taken 16 years, but it seems we will soon have a nice clean trouble free take off.

Can’t wait to lay my glider out on that lovely astro. I bet you are made up that you’ve finally (almost) got the facility you deserve. Just got to make sure that it is looked after now. Get it laid before those dusties start!!!!!!
Are you going to mark an area on it “Reserved for Steve Ham” take off spot? Or a nice flypiedrahita.com logo. Its the least you deserve for all your hard work in the area.
Looking forward to seeing you all in August.
