High expectations

Yesterdays task was cancelled due to over-development at take off although many pilots free flew after cancellation. High pressure has finally arrived and looks set in for some time. A light northerly wind today with an early morning clear sky and a good thermal prediction has the pilots anticipating a long flight. At the moment we are discussing possibilities for a task. Many of us want to fly along the south side of the Gredos which from the south are an incredible visual backdrop to the flying on this side of the mountain chain. However, there are some areas which are heavily forested close into the hills, so we will probably be setting an FAI triangle of around 100km to the south.
