Avila at last!

Yesterday, Monday, some our new group managed the three flights, though generally with local soaring. Today however, a normal day, with good Cu a base around 2800m and light NW winds. On he early flight Keith and myself flew to the quarry and back to Piedrahita, landing near the house (26km out and return), Remko landing near the quarry.

On the XC flight many of the low airtime pilots skied out near the big spine, though only Remko and Keith attempted an XC.
Keith landed on the outskirts of Avila with 55 km, and Remko near Solosancho at around 40km. Back in time in for a great restitution flight will all spending an hour or more running the ridge.

Steve Puri and Paul, thanks for having me, great to see people getting high and going xc, I`ll have my chance next time.

See you again probably in a couple of years, it was worth it just to see the bees and go in the river

    All the best Jamie
