At last, a cracking day

After a disappointing weather week Saturday finally came up with some interesting conditions. The Cu was only just above take off for the morning flight, but Rob and Ian managed a flight along the valley, with Rob crossing the pass leaving Ian with a long walk out form the dead end valley just before. For the XC flight most of the group got to near the pass, with Rob just slipping over again, and Nick taking the classic and higher route over the high ground. Nick managed some scrappy climbs after the pass to land at 29km. The evening flight gave us a classic evening restitution enabling everyone, including Julie on the tandem with me, to to the 16km out and return to the corrals landing at sunset back at Piedrahita.

What a nice week even so the weather didnt play the game. This is a great place with great hosts. I will be returning so I can whip that Robert bloke over the pass. Hope all is well with the bees and look forward to tasting some of that old hot crossed bun again. Thanks Ian
