Family Week 28th March 28th March - 3rd April

During Easter we are planning a walking week for families with children.

Walks will all be suitable for children from 5 to 10 years old and will include visits to all the relevant places and natural environments in the area.

The structure of the week will follow the same principle as our easy walking weeks, but the walks will all have some special interest that will appeal to children:

1. Chasing wild goats: A stroll into the heart of the Gredos with the hope of spoting some real Spanish Ibex amongst the magnificent granite peaks.
2. The watermills run: A route along the Corneja river in search of ancient mills and artefacts.
3. The hidden lake: On the moors over the Villafranca range there is a lake covered in flowers. Will we be able to find it?.
4. In search of the cascade: A pleasant walk, deep into one of the Gredos gorges, up to an 80m waterfall.
5. King of the castle: A tour on top of the Avila walls, discovering all the corners of the old fortress.
6. Treasure hunt in Salamanca: A route to find the secrets of some of the most representative monuments in Salamanca.
