Trail magazine, June 2004, said of the Sierra de Gredos: "This region to the north-west of Madrid is shockingly overlooked by British walkers. And that's a shame, because it's crammed to the rafters with wildlife and offers some stunning and extremely accessible mountain terrain."
The routes we offer have been chosen for those who enjoy walking at a leisurely pace while discovering the beauty and distinctive features of new environments.
The level of difficulty will vary depending of the week of choice. The easy weeks involve routes between 5-9Km on easy terrain and the moderate weeks are a bit more challenging, with walks up to 12Km and some hill scrambling. The birdwatching week would qualify as easy and the Sierra de Francia Tour as moderate
Most days, lunch will be a picnic to be enjoyed sometime along our journey.
On arrival we will have a briefing explaining the possibilities and we will adapt to people's needs and wishes.
The weather is also an important factor, since depending on the light of the day or cloudbase level one route may be more suitable than other.
